I WANT to afford the future for my family especially for my children and setting financial goals is the correct way to start achieving what I want. I've been working hard on growing my net worth for the last two years but there's still too much room for improvement. The following goals can hopefully help me take a little bit closer to my dreams - having complete control over my finances, teaching my children the value of money and eventually reaching financial independence.
Short-Term Goals:
Pay off my debts
Find additional sources of income and side hustles
Get a health insurance for me and husband
Have no less than 120k balance on my Emergency Fund
Start saving 10% of my salary each month and put it in an Investment Fund
Invest in UITF/MF/Stocks
Long-Term Goals:
Get an Educational Plan for each of my kids
Establish a Retirement Fund
Own a home
Own a car
Micro-Goals:
Update my SSS profile and resume paying monthly contribution
Verify TIN number and request for TIN card
Organize important papers and documents
Create a chore chart
Create a monthly grocery list
Reaching financial independence sure takes a lot of hard work but armed with a concrete plan and strategy, I believe anyone can achieve them. Work toward your goals and make them a habit.
Have you set your own goals this year? How are you doing?
